Christmas is the time of year
When you want your loved ones near
A warmth fills your heart
And your eyes fill with tears

Presents are shared
But the message they send
It says you’re loved
Appreciated, and cared

Its catch up time and more
For kisses and hugs galore
All hard feelings aside
Friends help you in a bind

The act of giving
Is not an act at all
When it is given
From your heart and soul

The cheer of kid’s glee
Who can’t wait to see
And wonder what Santa
Has put under the tree
