Christmas Valentine Poem by Steve Hancock

Christmas Valentine

Rating: 4.0

Intricate snowflakes meander
Cascading snow upon snow
Sprinkles of makeshift snowman
Content in the cold wintry blow

Flagons of warm salutation
Keep icy cold tendrils at bay
Perusing the cards of endearment
From acquaintances so far away

Butterflied anticipation
Unrelenting denies children sleep
Perchance to catch fairytale glimpses
Of Santa in twinkle-toed creep

Neath spray of lip merging mistletoe
Two amorous hearts entwine
My first, my last, my everything
My Christmas valentine

I love the flow of this poem, there is no mistletoe where I live now. I miss it.
