Christmas My Friends Poem by Ivan phillip m. llanzana ivan phillip m. llanzana

Christmas My Friends

WE touch, we see, we taste, we hear
WE run, we swim, we eat, we tear
WE jump, we walk, we shout, we talk
WE wear our clothes, we smell the rose
WE watch movies, we buy cd’s
WE pay our bills for cable tv’s

WE go to bars to drink few beers
Together with some girls and friendly peers
But when we’re gone, could these be done?
Maybe we can, ... but where from?
I don’t know where? , somewhere beyond

We still have time, so don’t you worry
To change our ways before it’s costly
To leave our young’s a sort of legacy
And to live our lives with some sense of decency

As I wrote this poem it’s Christmas eve
I’m contemplating what to believe
Shall I continue working for money
So that I can always have a taste of honey

Yes, I’ll work I’m not that lazy
And earn my income in the form of currency
And if there be a time I shall be in plenty
Think it won’t hurt to share some to the needy
Wasn’t it great to make poor people happy?
To follow the rule of God Almighty
Aaahhh… it’s been there for more than centuries
