Christmas Gift Poem by Walter W. Safar

Christmas Gift

Rating: 4.7

If you want to give a gift
To the boy from the orphanage,
Give him hope,
Be the eternal flame
In the stationery boy's dark dream.
If you want to give from the heart,
Find a gift
In a smile from the heart,
Because that which is woven from tenderness and love
Is priceless.
If you want to become closer to yourself,
Look into the eyes of the stationery boy,
Because his eyes are the path of dreams
Where you shall always find the lost dream.
If you sinned in life,
Look at the face of the stationery boy,
Because his smile is a valley in bloom
Where you shall always find forgiveness.
When you think that the mournful veil
Has covered the flame in the eye of the stationery boy,
You should know, my friend;
There are no sad and merry children,
There are only loved and unloved children.
If you really want to see the tear
In the eye of the stationery boy,
Watch as a castaway would, looking for his path to salvation
In a star.
When poverty lowers its dark curtain
Between you and the orphanage boy
When darkness takes over
Between heaven and earth,
The secret to salvation is in the inner glow,
In the glow of the eye of the stationery boy,
Look for trust, joy and love,
That glorious company in the soul
Shall raise the dark curtain
Between you and the stationery boy,
Between heaven and earth
Light will rule.
