Christmas Carols Poem by Bhaskaranand Jha Bhaskar

Christmas Carols

The Son of God
Jesus Christ
Was the divine messiah
Born to be crucified
Only to redeem us
From our ignominious sins
Through our penance
And repentance
Preaching the gospel
Of brotherhood and humanity.

The carollers croon
Soft songs of festivity,
Merriment, peace, sacrifices,
With jingling bells
Jovial Santa Claus
Appears each time
With precious godsends -
Love, joy, happiness, kindness
For the little kids
Innocent, happy and pure
Treasured in our hearts
Amusing all, axing all our woes...
