Christmas Poem by Kaci Tami

Christmas

Christmas
Is the one
Day of The year
That I look forward to
Not because of the presents received
But it is the day I am allowed to choose
Whatever I want for breakfast, lunch
Dinner and tea and snacks in between
Instead of the usual meals mum makes me
Like the very colorful and healthy salad roll
Ham and cheese or the vegemite sandwich
I can simply eat meat and lots and lots of it
I could eat roast beef and plumb apricot sauce
Or turkey on rye or my favorite Greek salad
Or simply pig out on fried chicken and chips
But best of all it’s the day grandma, grandpa
And all my cousins, aunts and uncles
Come to my house for the day
And we all get to eat, drink and play
And best of all open our pressies
That’s Santa’s left out
Under the
Evergreen
Xmas tree
That’s why
I love Christmas!
