Christ is more than enough

Christ is more than enough
Bounteous in patience
Plenteous in mercy
Lavish in forgiving sins
Washing away our iniquities
Just for His name sake

Christ is more than enough
Has authority over all situations
Is master over all positions
The devil is not a match
The grave could not keep him
Death could not stop Him

Christ is more than enough
He is my shepherd
He is my fortress
My buckler and rock
My saviour and redeemer
God above all

Christ is more than enough
He is my provider
He is my healer
My guard and guide
My all in all
My one-stop shop

Christ is more than enough
Never forsakes his own
Came solely for sinners
Died only for sinners
He focuses on his own
Knows them by their names

Christ is more than enough
Knows sum of my hair
Knew me in the womb
Made me like himself
Chose me from the start
And gave me wisdom

Christ is more than enough
Anytime I am stuck
He to me talks
Anytime I go astray
Redirects me onto the trail
By gently chastising me

Christ is more than enough
Has prepared for me a place
Is coming back for me
Will stay with me forever
In a place void of sickness
A place of perfect peace

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
