Chores Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Chores

You stand at the doorway
Waiting for the morning ray
To wash away sleep from your
Eyes before you welcome the day

Your eyelids feel easy now
They flutter as two light wings
At the sound of his heavy feet
Your tender heart merrily sings

You are feeling fresh now
There is much to do for the day
You must finish before dusk falls
And it is time to take rest and pray
