Choice Poem by Keli Mims

Choice

It wasn't chance that you met me,
It was choice that made our destiny.
We didn't know what would begin,
When I chose to make you a friend.
It was choice that let us become so close,
How together we fused and began to grow.
Making jokes and spending so much time,
Blinded we didn't see you become mine.
Then we made a choice to be great friends,
It was our choice to bend.
Choice to spend time with only you,
Be coming consumed by all you do.
Choices determines all that has happened,
Choice of meeting and being friends.
One thing that we did not choose,
A part of us that secretly fused.
It wasn't a choice we made,
Neither something that would fade.
It was accidental and never meant,
It was all purely a coincident,
It wasn't a choice we fell in love.
