The sight of chocolate covered cherries induces
A desire to devour each one nonstop… bite by bite
Overwhelming taste buds before flavor touches lips
As a heavenly scent entices with a persuasive invite
With excitement warm fingers pluck a swirled dome
From a regimented row of identical saccharine treats
The delectable candy begins to melt and surrender
As the mouth salivates anticipating the divine sweet
A rush floods the craving brain as lungs heave a sigh
The sensation is almost numbing as a longing is fulfilled
A carefully crafted delight erupts with joy and satisfaction
Blending flavors are savored…expectations are thrilled
