Choclate Chip Cookies Poem by Garrett Medellin

Choclate Chip Cookies

Choclate chip cookies, and Hebrew songs
These are things that are now long gone
My Jewish life, I once had no faith
Now I pray to Him
To keep me and my little brother safe
They call us to take showers
So I hold my brother tight
Because I know what is to come
So I pray with all my might
And I tell my brother to close his eyes, and so do I
So that neither one can see the other die

(I wrote this from the veiw of those who died in the Holocoust and put me and my brother in their situation)
