Chinese New Year (Red Envelope) Poem by U Win Kyi

Chinese New Year (Red Envelope)

I did hope
to get a fat red envelope
filled with much un-bao money
to enjoy chinese new year happily.
But my un-bao was so thin
that a blue mood it did bring.
For months, Dad's business has been in the red,
due to financial crash
causing him in debt
so he could not give a lot of cash.
No father ever wants his kid feel sad.
He prayed at local temple to get me blessed
and to have peace of mind
which is worthier than a million golden dime.
