Have you ever been to a Chili Cook-off?
With delicious smells wafting in the air?
Better bring your appetite with you
‘Cause these cooks always want to share

They all have their favorite spices
That they toss right into the pot
Smokin’ with wonderful seasonings
And some of it’s gonna be ‘hot’

These folks are really the masters
They have chili running in their veins
And when they’re finished cookin’
Not a dropp of this stuff will remain

Onions and chili peppers are chopped
Thrown in at just the right time
Oh, you can smell it instantly, folks
You just know it’ll taste so fine

The judges have a daunting challenge
Because it all tastes delicious, it’s true
If only you could try them all
You could pick the one perfect for you!
