Children Spoilt Rule Rein Poem by Terence George Craddock

Children Spoilt Rule Rein

quick fix parents
give in to their child/childrens'
every wish swift

succumbing
to their every demand
buying gifts gadgets

clothes
at their every whim
upon demand

ask and you shall receive
guilt give in parents might
work long hours

rain down upon
their neglected children
substitute gifts

in guilt floods
bullied parents
buying latest

must have items
frightened
of not keeping

up with the Jones
too weak to say no?
children spoilt

rule rein
while parents
unwise

play
the shell out
game?
