Children Playing Poem by Ronald Chapman

Children Playing

The enthusiastic boy swiftly sings for a toy,
Where is the enthusiastic girl?
The girl fetches the ball, like a playful puppy,
Want to play catch with me?

Games grow!
Tag you're it!
Boy falls!

The boy screams like a small puppy,
Mommy, I got a boo boo on my knee,
The lovable puppy quietly licks the boys face.

The insightful boy calmly laughs.
Says, " Tag your it! "

Why does the girl endure?

Let's have some ice cream.

Happiness is children eating chocolate ice cream
while playing all day.
