Children Of The Stars Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Children Of The Stars

Facsimiles of redundancies
Masses swept in delusion
Partisan depravities
Creating prototypes
Of a promised faith's illusion

Deviants of twisted desires
Perverting what is truth
Converging past mistakes
With drama filled deception
Easily swaying sheep
Slipping and sliding mental slewing

Look at those blood drenched hands
Dripping themselves in crimson calamity
Breaking moldy bread
On the back of mankind's confusion

It's all a distraction
To society and all
As the worst has yet to come
As humanity's pride
Is thrown down
By the pride of wicked men's splendor

Wisdom demolished
Watched by prying eyes
Celebrating as if nothing was real
To the heart and soul
Lost and devoured
By the trying times new deception

Welcome to a brand new world
One that was always around
The corner of every road
That leads to a dead end submission
The only ones who win
Never get caught
As they keep cheating in the game
But what will happen
When there is nothing left?
Who will take over then?

Equality is the key
Everyone is relevant
As fate unlocks the door
To the evolution of mankind's resurgence

Objects are just primal enjoyments
As the soul is priceless in the truest of existence

Even in the flesh
Our spirits are meant to ascend

We are children
To the stars calling
Rise up and make amends

In these current times
We who struggle know
Things should be much better than this

May our lights shine divine?
As we live in the flesh
As dwellers of an opened universe
Traveling beyond
Where we have ever traveled before

We are the Children of the stars
