Children Of Cain Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Children Of Cain

Saffron gates of civil illusions
Those on the fringe of monuments
Your blue idol eyes only a wisp
Sparticus crucifies a Roman soldier
Delphi maidens serve the lions
Silver and gold beneath the violence
Rage as ancient as a the Pantheon
You are the unattainable vamp
Fate sealed in time like an execution
Write your liaisons in all this blood

Something very dead rules the king
Dark as plagues she walks the forum
Echo the asp of Egypt for the dust
Visit the dead in their putrid mirror
They coddle capes of purple secrets
Codgers of the endless ancient pit
Assemble and collude with all zest
Your feast covers catacombs
The moving dead fornicate
Visit your burning karma in dreams

Resolve Alexander’s dying empire
Poison of Socrates betrays Zeus
Young lions turn into fields of graves
Master your lust into statues of Corinth
Arrows wane with entropies fingers
Motes filled with serpents
Protected behind moons of pearls
Penetrate every shield of fear
Revel in the pride of life
Breach every dream of conquest
Placid take over with no coup de tat

Who shall build the pyramids?
Let the scribes write
Inquisitors shelter the satyr
We are the torn wombs of Herod
They cry in meadows of smoke and fire
Nothing sinister in the rising ghost
No new wine lives amidst Edom
No well to drink the clean eternal water
They dance with masks of bulls
They copulate in foreign gold
