Children Know

Today we lie on the surface
Of this earth of pain and pride
Where children cry and scream
As parents kill and die
Although we fight to stop it
We just stay the same
With all the bullets firing
No one feels the shame
But the children know it all
They just can't say
The things we do because
Seeing what they see is insane
