Childhood Rock Garden Poem by Wayne Falconer

Childhood Rock Garden

Rating: 5.0

Often I picture this childhood scene.
My parents and I in summertime.
In summer evening rock garden
my mother or father watering
this amazing flowering rock garden
with blooming flowers all colours
all textures of the rainbow.
Like some magic carpet of Eden.
Daffodils, tulips and roses
all glowing before my bright eyes
wonderful, oh what glorious wonder
upon hot summer Wanganui night
once within other life I knew
and if I just close my eyes?
