Childhood Abuse And Pollution

Is it
that more of us are becoming poor
because the cost of childhood abuse and pollution
is now being counted
in the setting up of business and service,
when once they were overlooked, discounted or ignored
in the rush to increase the hoard,

and that that cost
is now disproportionately paid by the poor
because the rich
want to keep on having disproportionately more
and won't pay what they ought to
for happy children and adults
and clean air and clean water?
