Child Bride Poem by verna ralph

Child Bride

Rating: 5.0

She was a child bride
Married just sixteen
She had a yearing to fly
But had to clip her wings
She had to take care of baby

The years went rapidly by
Her life had its ups and downs
She continued on without a frown
She had to take care of baby

Now she has reached her prime
She often wondered
How it would have been
If she had made her dream come true
If she did, t have to take care of baby
