~chess~ Poem by E Nigma

~chess~

I pushed through myself to slip away
And I'm anchored in a way awaiting you
Anger will not cease nor hesitate
To place this weight, this crown upon you

And so I lead her to this place
As she looked upon my face
She could tell this was the day
She always knew

I remember the taste
Of a bitter sweet embrace
As I let her slip away
Out of view

Saving you was killing me
So save yourself and let me be
Peace of mind is what I need
And what you need is to be free

So hello want, here is your need
Hello pawn, here is your queen
Another day, Another game
Stalemate or not, checkmate I wait...
