Cheer Up Mama (I Love You So)

Rating: 2.8

cheer up mama,
come and sit by me,
if i give you a hug,
will you then be happy.

cheer up mamma,
have i done something wrong,
would you stop crying,
if a sang you a song.

cheer up mama,
let me make you some tea,
just like nana made it,
when you was happy.

cheer up mama,
come get out of bed,
upon my lap,
you can rest your tired head.

cheer up mama,
for i love you so,
and as you cry i cry too,
cheer up mama lets
paint the world pink,
instead of blue.

cheer up mama,
and smile again,
rise from you bed,
and rise from the pain.

thats right mama,
i love you so,
and this is my way,
of letting you know.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

What a sweet, sweet sentiment, Vincent, in a folky kind of song....
