Chasing The Wind Poem by Edwina Aleme

Chasing The Wind

Rating: 5.0

Chasing the wind
Is like chasing shadows
You’d never know why you are shallow
Your thought encompass you
And you keep wondering,
Up one day and down the next…..

Swimming in the sea of tears
And flying high with joy
Never mind chasing the wind
Because you will never catch it
But you will definitely feel it…..

Come out of your dungeon
And be a free man,
Like the desert palm
Deeply rooted to stand the test of time
Majestic, with its traditional crown,
Tall, proud and never bends
Tough on the outside yet
Soft on the inside

Come out of chasing the wind
And discover who you are
And what life has in store for you…..

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I feel like I used to spend a lot of my life chasing the wind. Your words have some real meaning and I'm glad I got to read this poem, I like to think I've stopped wind chasing in favor of real goals in life.
