Chasing Shadows [thought] Poem by R.K. Cowles

Chasing Shadows [thought]

I progress onward
Colliding
With the obscurations
That I pursue
Caressing their umbra
Penetrating their essence
Experiencing those
That are stillness
Living through those
That are in motion

Straining towards them
And their definition
These that I pursue
Perhaps, in fact
Shadow me
Astrayed within them
Each one distinct
In their own fashion
Materializing in different forms
And dimentions
Examining the interior
Of their camouflaged structure
Since endevouring myself
To understanding them
I've become devouted
In discovering
Their unknown presence

I progress onward
Colliding
With the obscurations
That I pursue
Caressing their umbra
Penetrating their essence
Experiencing those
That are stillness
Living through those
That are in motion

Educating myself
Of their justification
of the casting of themselves
Upon my being
Searching for an acquaintance
To re-establish my existence
With-in the practicle realm
I happen to be
Beyond the visual realm
Beneath their parameter
Dissoluted within
Their fascinating presence
However, I persist the quest
Of unlocking
Of all their mechanisms

I progress onward
Colliding
With the obscurations
That I pursue
Caressing their umbra
Penetrating their essence
Experiencing those
That are stillness
Living through those
That are in motion

Fondling their transcendal magnetism
Lead away
Toward their depths
Yet haven't unearthed
Their mysteries
Astrayed within them
Yet I continue to collide
With these obscurations
As I continue to pursue
Their being
While astrayed within them
