Chapter Poem by ntobeko sbalukhulu

I once read a chapter that I fell for
I stayed in that chapter
because it was so unbelievable amazing, interesting
learnt new things from.

It once it became confusing, bad
things became horrifying
I kept on reading it, thought
it would become better like in the beginning
but it only became bad and worse
I kept on reading with the hope
it would be interesting again
I couldn't close that chapter
because it seemed like the only chapter that
I fitted or enjoyed

but I had to close that chapter and start a
a new chapter with new things
I had to finish that chapter
in order to continue with the book
I had to take a new chapter

they say good things have to come to an end
I won't forget the things that
I gained from that chapter
it time to carry on with the book that
I was given to read.
