these voices around me
they scream, they fear
hear the storm inside me
come close, come near

be careful, little one
this isn't a child's game
though the reward is plenty
the end is full of shame

there's a road that guides you
a path covered by frost
a winding abyss
oh you will be lost

its a game of death
though the stakes are high
choose widely at the crossroads
for death is not shy

the thorns that decorate
the path you walk
the serpent that slithers
every time you talk

remember, you must
it tells a great story
disguised in your failure
is, indeed, a great glory

watch your steps, beware
this is a mighty strife
the endless defeats
the battle of life
