Changing Guard At Buckingham Palace Poem by Margaret Kollmer

Changing Guard At Buckingham Palace

Rating: 4.5

They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace
Replacing the horses with rams, sez Alice
No more do they kick - they only byte
Their fyshe and chips working through the night
Sez Alice.

They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace
Their service provider is routed through Dallas
Their e-mails prance with St. Vitus' Dance
With spam from Fance given half a chance
Sez Alice.

They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace
My monitor screen showed the Queen, sez Alice
What she was doing when I was viewing
You'd better be asking of Mister Ewing
At Dallas.

This poem reminds me a little bit of the Steely Dan song “ Change of The Guard, ” now the sentiment you express works well as how it is in cyberspace.
