Changes 2 Poem by David Harris

Changes 2

We may live in a place
and only slightly notice
the changes that take place
at a daily rate.
It is only when we go somewhere
we haven’t been to
in almost thirty years
that place we once knew
is now unrecognisable
from when we were there.
Most of the old is gone
replaced by the new.
Only our memories remain
of what was once there.
