Chance 偶 然 Poem by Rachel Gao

I am a cloud in the sky.

A chance shadow on the wave of your heart.

Don't be surprised.

Or too elated;

In an instant I shall vanish without trace.


We meet on the sea of the dark night.

You on your way, I on mine.

Rmemeber if you will.

Or, better still, forget.

The light exchanged in this encounter!

xu zhi mo(the poet) met lin hui yin when they studied abroad and they liked each other, however, xu zhi mo had have a wife and child in China, lin hui yin could not help falling love with him...While lin hui yin faced to his wife, she felt guilty and finally left quietly,
xuzhimo was so sad and wrote down CHANCE to commemorate their love.


偶 然

我 是 天 空 里 的 一 片 云 ，
　 　 偶 尔 投 影 在 你 的 波 心 ——
　 　 你 不 必 讶 异 ，
　 　 更 无 须 欢 喜 ——
　 　 在 转 瞬 间 消 灭 了 踪 影 。
　 　 你 我 相 逢 在 黑 夜 的 海 上 ，
　 　 你 有 你 的 ， 我 有 我 的 ， 方 向 ；
　 　 你 记 得 也 好 ，
　 　 最 好 你 忘 掉 ，
　 　 在 这 交 会 时 互 放 的 光 亮 !
