Chair Poem by Abdul Wahab

Chair

Rating: 5.0

I have one
Full of desires and want
Caged
In ribs and iron
Stand upon
Two
Very feeble and fragile

But you stand upon
Four
Symbol of honour
Strong and powerful
So I long to sit upon you

But before I get you
You let loose lot of lies
All stories get colourful wings
Rumour starts to fly

Cool air hits up
Frozen down heart
Vapours out love and truth
Above my head
Hovers a cloud
Of hate and falsehood

When I get hold upon you
I see you singing song of every evil
Like a crone here you score but nil

Life is precious
On those two
I must stand up
To defend the truth
