Chains Of Paul & Silas (3) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Chains Of Paul & Silas (3)

Sing bold before Salvation’s throne
Let praise reach hallowed ground
Allow your deepest thoughts be known
Let heart and soul resound

Praises can bring end to doubt
Depression can depart
Can conquer famine, vanquish drought
Can touch The Father’s heart

Praise can turn the deepest seas
Bring mighty storms to cease
Will bring the devil to his knees
And bring the sweetest peace

When Jehoshaphat; praised His Lord
Praying on bended knee
Salvation heard and raised His sword
And set His people free

He knew the truth he knew his King
He knew God’s promise made
He knew if praise to God he’d sing
His fears would surely fade

Today we too should seek The Light
Sing praise of Christ on high
Then God our foe will put to flight
And bring our fears to die

To each God’s promises remain
God’s word is always true
No song of praise is sung in vain
By those who’re born anew

The Lord can hear our praying soul
He feels the touch of praise
He longs to make our spirits whole
To live eternal days
