Chains Poem by Darren Harris

Am I awake or am I dreaming,
In this tortured world of mine,
Screaming and shouting out in anger,
Mind always working overtime,


Or is it a nightmare that I’m living,
Day after day filled with pain,
Thoughts so bizarre that they scare me,
My thoughts are driving me insane,


So will someone help me in this madness?
Help me too escape from within,
And help release the chains that bind me,
The chains that keep me suffering,
