Ce Qu'Il Veut

Je suis un homme amusé:

‘les Anglais sont arrivés’

est ‘elle a ses règles’.

Pas assez?

Quand un pirate dit, ‘e aar! ’,

s’il s’appelle Barbebleu,

dit-il, ‘il aaa…

il aaa ce que je veux! ’

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
What He Wants
I'm amused:
'the English are coming'
means 'she's got her period.'

Not enough?

When a pirate says 'e aar! ',
if he's a French one (eg Barbebleu, Bluebeard) ,
he's saying 'il aaa! '('he has! ') (pronounced e aar!)
'he has what I want! '
