Cause I Swallowed A Frog Poem by Birgitta Abimbola Heikka

Cause I Swallowed A Frog

I swallowed a frog whole
and it got lodged in my throat
Latent, it laid in the green bowl
the amphibian I swallowed whole
I wish it had been a sole
Then, I would not myself loathe
for swallowing that slimy frog whole
and now croak cause it got lodged in my throat.

are you sure a human wrote this poem, not a heron or pelican or snake? i like silly poems, but some of this baffled me a bit. Latent, it laid in the green bowl.......how about lay for laid? ? and how did it get from your throat to a green bowl? Then, I would not myself loathe for swallowing that slimy frog whole and now croak cause it got lodged in my throat. .....well, after reading two or three times, i believe i now understand the use of now croak. i guess i wasn't reading it correctly to begin with and i was thinking croak for the sound of a frog, or, more likely (what a short memory i have!) i was thinking you were trying to say the frog died, BUT i now see clearly that you died! my condolances go to your survivors. thanks for sharing. :) bri p.s. perhaps you can make more sense than i could [[since you describe yourself in bio as a computer programmer]] from the poem programmer's love defined, by my PH friend brian johnston?

Beautiful project of filling oneself with painful pleasure.
