Caught In The Web Of A Beautiful Spider Poem by Paul Day

Caught In The Web Of A Beautiful Spider

Like a fly I flew into the trap,
Though I swore I never would.

Like a fly I took a path,
Blocked by a beautiful spider,
Who’d already spun her web.

Like a fly I found myself,
Tangled up,
Where so many had already suffered.

Like a fly I struggled with futility,
Upon recognition of my plight.

Like a fly I lay in wait now,
To become the victim of a beautiful spider,
Who’s spun a beautiful web,
And caught me.

I lay in wait for my heart to break,
For the games of a beautiful spider,
Who’s condemned and will condemn,
So many a poor other,
To a horrible, identical fate.

Had to check this one out since Spiders are my greatest fear, I found it very easily put into the human world of victims and beautiful manipulators. well done Paul 10++ From Chris
