Caught In A Web Of Madness Poem by Haley Revell

Caught In A Web Of Madness

Echoing in my head
Memories of words once said
Can’t understand what happening to me
Seems like a nightmare meant only for me
Deadly bite, poisoned for all eternity

So what happened to yesterday
And my dreams that I thought
Would never fade away
Now I’m caught in a web of madness
Trapped by the pain and sadness

Just a false façade
Slips upon me with each dawn
Just a mask that hides the truth
Behind my eyes
The only thing that keeps me alive
I’m hiding behind a disguise

So what do you say
When dreams slip away
What do you do when
No one cares about you
Close your eyes
Hope to die
And pray

Caught in a web of madness
Trapped by the pain and sadness
