Catching Flower Petals Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Catching Flower Petals

Rating: 5.0

I could search this city at night with lamps
For a piece of clothing
You left behind with the fragrance of your perfume
And the lovely remnants of your lipstick kiss.

I would be in utter bliss
With my contemplations of your brown hair
Sweetly swaying in the summer breeze
And what it would mean to me
If you were close enough
So I could feel you breathe.

This life is so many flower petals
Falling to the sacred ground,
But I’m trying to catch every one of them
And bring them to you,
I want to place them at your sandaled feet,
Never doubt this simple poetry
Seeking to enter your soul.

A poem any woman would feel blessed to receive. You have a gift, but better: you have the heart and soul to keep it beautiful. Wishing you all the peace you can hold! Esther: ]
