Catch Me Poem by Josh Burnett

Catch Me

Feeling sick the hands on the clock tick
Because you make my living so weak
You take what you know and throw it to waste
Underneath the sand you don't see my hand
Save me before I forever sink beneath
The lifeless deserts of your own heart

Catch me if I begin to fall
Never mind I won't stand tall
Just leave me to crawl
I'll make it through
Without a single I love you
Don't catch me when I fall
On my own I can stand tall

I can tell behind your twisted smile
That you are only laughing
Behind your teeth there is no truth
Behind your eyes I don't see love
You won't give it up
And I've had just about enough

Catch me if I begin to fall
Never mind I won't stand tall
Just leave me to crawl
I'll make it through
Without a single I love you
Don't catch me when I fall
On my own I can stand tall

Go ahead and pull me further down
Hold my breath, don't let my lungs breathe
Make me fight the weight of your hands
Against you I will win
Give it up you are hopeless

Catch me if I begin to fall
Never mind I won't stand tall
Just leave me to crawl
I'll make it through
Without a single I love you
Don't catch me when I fall
On my own I can stand tall
