When I saw my dog chase after a cat
It was like a greyhound let out of the trap
Yet it hadn’t a chance as the cat climbed the tree
Flicking vee’s at the dog all smug you see
The dog would have barked and circled for hours
Unaware that the cat had escaped via hedges and flowers
When I finished laughing I put my dog on its lead
And continued to walk it while the cat remained free!
