Castle Of Cowards Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Castle Of Cowards

Your pagan tree is ancient fear
Raven sword afraid of love
Licentious dreams on diamond moons
Torches in the night come for me
Time is a forest of lions
We are hunted without mitigation

Fair maiden you protect your heart
Now you are your own prisoner
Steel castle walls keep me out
You look out a window of bars
There in the dungeon you wear silk
The mirror reflects a lonely queen

She dies in a castle of cowards
