Cash For Clunkers Poem by Sandra Martyres

Cash For Clunkers

Rating: 5.0

Its cash for clunkers
So the advertisement read
He abandoned his jalopy
Hurriedly on the sidewalk
And drove out in a new sedan
Parked in the showroom
Sure he was stopped
Soon enough by the cops
Surprised he glared back
And pointed to the hoarding
He had not noticed the fine print
'Conditions apply'

...always the fine print, eh? Humorous penning; and never look a gift horse from the gub'mint in the mouth; you're sure to be disappointed..(smile)

I like the surprise ending. We tend to take everything so serious these days, it's nice to enjoy some humour.
