Carpe Diem

Daar ginds staat een roos
stom en dor en boos
haar bladeren verdord
de wind die haar wat port.

Je kunt het haast horen
de doornen van venijn
daar staat ze wat verloren
verdoofd en niet te smoren.

maar binnen daar klopt
nog een hart rood en klein
dat zou nog wel even
een bloem willen zijn.

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
