Carpe Diem Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Carpe Diem

In this strained climate of life, and potential death
Seek not fortunes of material vain, nor hidden pleasures
In quiet corners of psychic stash, beware of denunciation
Relish the day
Tomorrow does not matter
Violence is never far at hand
Beware the crushing burdens of truth
Unbonnet compassion, promise and peace
