Caressing Your Eyes Poem by mark nwagwu

Caressing Your Eyes

Rating: 4.8

You reach for your pot
and scoop out a story
with memories so hot
it burns with fury

I run to my soul
and call up the word
that speaks to your face
caressing your eyes

You can't wash it off
though words don't stick
they have a life
in your liquid eyes

that's a beautiful poem. The echoes of what we hear stays on with us... although as you rightly said, words don't stick but they do have a life of their own.

Commentary can only weaken this creative masterwork, but i felt compelled to comment just to let you know that. This is both intellectually and viscerally strong, and the rhymes make it memorable. Not many guys talking about their lady's eyes these days.
