Cardinal Flower Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Cardinal Flower

Rating: 4.5

Cardinal flower
- - - - - - - - - - -
Swaying within
The memory's garden
Many a leaf
Many a bough
Many a flower
And remember I
How buds opened
And bloomed into flowers
With hopes and beauties
In blended tints
Forever together
To bring life's colours
From rainbow skies
Foliate and verdant
Fresh and potent
Springs forth sunny days
Dear to all
Hope to all
At the sight of whom
Life renews life's all
Love upon love
Peace upon peace
It brings
To every human soul
Life's hey-day past
And ye I recall
With a heavy heart

Beautiful poem. Memories of past are sweet to be remembered. I loved the imagery you painted with words.

Once hope reigned supreme in our hearts and dreams bloomed like flowers giving us a lot of joy! Now with youth receding, our dreams are growing colourless, some are fading and some have withered away for ever! This is inevitable.....! Still there is much to hope for Deepak! Great write!
