Captivating Poem by Karen Pedigo

Captivating

Two glasses sit
on the floor,
a bottle of wine
aged to perfection
sits chilled in ice.
She walks in,
soft candle light glow,
captured by
her senses
she stops
breathes
The sight of
his shadow
is captiving,
her heart
beating faster
excitment growing
thoughts wonder,
night has fallen,
moonlight weakens
her emotions.
She slowly
walks toward,
the shadow
tall, and strong
yearning
to feel his body,
to see his face,
handsome
she knows
he starts
toward her
slowly,
stops to
pour the wine,
continues slowly
walking towards her,
seeing her face
in the glow
her beauty
pleases him
he knew
she would
captivate his soul,
capturing his heart,
he traces
her lips
fingers
gently gliding
over her face
softly
touching
longing to speak
but did not need
for he read her mind
took her hand in his
hands were smooth
yet strong
feeling her softness
gently rubbing
caressing
she gives in
completely
defenseless
he senses.
