Canvas Poem by J.L. Nash

Canvas

His attention to detail
On the canvas that sits
Large in the lounge
That sits balanced on two chairs
Is indicative of the attention
He pays to their lives together
The slightest interruption of brush stroke to incorporate
A rosetta motif only seems
Haphazard
And it is in this alternation of expectation
She trusts her life to him.
