Canticle Of The Creatures - An Ode To Franciscan Joy Poem by Kevin Crinks

Canticle Of The Creatures - An Ode To Franciscan Joy

Praise and thanks to God in heaven
Source of being, life and power
Who has given Brother Sun
To light the world each passing hour
Praise to God for Moon our Sister
Stars which light the night's display
May we honour all your beauty
Giving thanks to you today

Praises for the natural world
For wind and water, fire and earth
Bringing forth abundant goodness
To sustain us from our birth
Praise to God for peace and pardon
New beginnings, end of sin
Til at last our days have ended
And joys of new life begin
