As the loons cry out, the moon is my lighthouse
The light of it dancing on the tips of the brilliant water, watching for you, for me
The ocean tries to sing me to sleep, as I lay there, radiance filling my room through the open window
I lay in the bed, lonely, watching, waiting
I am lonely, for I need a pair of arms to hold me
I am watching, for I know you will arrive over that horizon that calls your name
I am waiting, waiting for you to come home to me
You call my name, as I open my eyes and crawl through the shimmering window
I see you, on the shore of the beach, the waves encouraging you to run to me
The gentle breeze causes my silk dress to blow in the wind, exhilarating me to fill the space between us
You start the journey as everything seems to fall into place
My heart begins to beat again, my breathing becoming commonplace once more
As you slow your jogging to a walk, I look in your eyes
Eyes that have made me feel bliss
Eyes that were once hard for me to interpret but now ones that hold my heart
You smile that heart stopping smile as you tuck my hair behind my ear and put your forehead to mine
A moment later, your lips on mine,
The ocean sings our lullaby
You pull away and smile once more as you pick me up and swing me around
Laughter fills the once empty air that was full of deathly silence
You lay down next to me, the space limited
I close my eyes as you speak, causing my heart to fly
Sleep my angel; I will be here when you awaken
With a gasp, I open my eyes
It was a dream
Then I heard it
Your voice, calling me
I crawl through the shimmering window of your heart
I then see you, running to me, filling the space
When you reach me, your lips attach to mine as our hearts are connected once more
I now have you, my destiny
We lay on the cool sand, wrapping us in our love for each other
Your voice causes my heart to beat again
I open my eyes; refusing sleep to come
I spoke, tears in my heavy eyes
Are you a dream?
I’m real, you whisper
My feelings soon overtake my body as my eyes close
When you speak, I know you mean each breath taking word
Sleep my love, I will be here when you awaken
